National Bike to Work Day started in 1955 to promote healthy commuting
Might 20 (UPI) — National Bike to Work Working day, celebrated per year on the 3rd Friday in Could, started out in 1955 to endorse healthier commuting routines.
The holiday break was established in 1955 by the League of American Bicyclists, a nonprofit biking group, as part of the celebrations of Bike to Work 7 days and Nationwide Bike Thirty day period.
