Philadelphia judge orders Museum of Modern Art stabbing suspect to undergo mental health evaluation

The suspect accused of stabbing two workforce at New York City’s Museum of Present day Art (MOMA) was ordered to undergo a psychological wellness analysis in Philadelphia, exactly where he was arrested.

Philadelphia County Judge Sharon Williams-Losier on Monday ordered the test for Gary Cabana, 60, in accordance to court docket documents.

Cabana allegedly flew into a rage on March 12 and leaped about a museum reception desk and stabbed two workers, authorities mentioned. He was seemingly upset that his membership card to the museum was revoked. 

“He turned upset about not remaining allowed entrance and then jumped over the reception desk and proceeded to attack and stab two workers of the museum numerous situations,” NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence and Counterterrorism John Miller said all through a push conference just before Cabana’s arrest. 

He said Cabana’s membership was revoked pursuing two incidents of disorderly behavior. Cabana received a letter from the museum outlining his membership was expired. He allegedly frequented demanding to see movie of the alleged disorderly conduct, authorities stated.

Cabana was arrested on March 15 though sleeping on a bench outside the house a Greyhound bus terminal. He is owing back in courtroom on April 8.
