Pitts: GOP no longer talks policy or ideas; it issues threats
The acronym stands for “Republican In Title Only,” which is, not incidentally, what Republicans like Greitens contact Republicans like Kinzinger.
The ad appeared on the web the working day just after Kinzinger disclosed the threats in opposition to his household.
This is now our norm.
Republicans no longer speak plan or concepts. Republicans only threaten.
Isaac Asimov famously identified as violence “the previous refuge of the incompetent.”
But violence — self-protection excepted — is also the past refuge of the loser, the previous gasp of those who have no far more words and phrases, the tacit confession of individuals who know, but are loath to confess, that they acquired nothin’.
If you just can’t get the argument, win the battle — a mantra for thugs, bully boys and other Republicans.
“There is violence in the upcoming,” reported Kinzinger.
And it felt not as opposed to an individual declaring, “There is a storm in the upcoming,” as rain pelts the window and garden furniture goes skittering across the property.
Sure, issues could get a lot worse.
They are, on the other hand, presently pretty bad.
A person of our two significant political get-togethers is a threat to the very country. And absent a dramatic class correction, it appears likely that dissolution is in the foreseeable future, suffering is in the potential, regret is in the long term.
But violence? That is currently in this article.
