Suspect charged after abandoned dogs found on Roanoke County roadside | Local News
A working day soon after a pit bull and her 4 puppies ended up discovered deserted on a rural Roanoke County roadside Tuesday, a Callaway guy has turned himself in just after law enforcement questioned the general public to aid establish him.
At about 1 p.m. Tuesday, Roanoke County police received a simply call about the canine, located alongside Crowell Gap Street, around the Franklin County line.
An officer responded to the simply call and took the dogs to the Regional Heart for Animal Treatment & Safety (RCACP). There, law enforcement learned that a person had been to the RCACP previously that day to surrender some canines.
The male, a Franklin County resident, was presented the contact data for the Franklin County animal shelter and questioned to choose them there.
Police thought the guy who frequented the RCACP and the person who left the canines deserted on the roadside are the very same individual.
He was viewed driving a white Chevrolet pickup truck with a black grill and a big purple welder in the mattress.

County law enforcement said Brandon Alley, 33, of Callaway, turned himself in Wednesday night and now faces five summonses for abandoning an animal. He was cooperative with law enforcement.
Law enforcement stated the canines all seem nutritious. “They are all hungry and sweet,” a press release reported.
The canine will be in foster care at the RCACP right up until their 10-working day “stray keep period” is complete and the pups are previous enough to be effectively vetted.
