Valerie Bertinelli gets candid about her weight and mental health

Valerie Bertinelli states she hasn’t gotten on a scale because she wrote her memoir “Enough Currently.”
The actress, writer and Food stuff Network host received emotional chatting about body weight and human body impression all through her visual appearance Thursday on “Today with Hoda & Jenna.”
“I’m wanting at the watch and making an attempt not to decide myself much too harshly proper now for the reason that I know that I’m continue to holding on to this weight for the reason that it is shielding me correct now,” she claimed tearfully. “Because I’m heading by way of a great deal of difficulties, a whole lot of heartbreak, a whole lot of insane stuff likely on in my lifetime correct now.”
Bertinelli lately submitted for divorce from Tom Vitale, whom she married in 2011, and has been grieving the loss of her former husband, rocker Eddie Van Halen, who died of most cancers in 2020.
She said it all began in 2016 when her father was dying and items have snowballed considering that then.
But Bertinelli claimed she is aware it will get much better.
“I know this fat is guarding me right now and when I get much healthier internally and emotionally that body weight will arrive off,” she stated. “I know I’m treating my human body much better. I’m drinking significantly less alcohol, I’m eating a lot less sugar, I’m placing more veggies in my human body, but my human body is executing this for a rationale … mainly because it needs defense.”
The previous “One Working day At A Time” star reported she wasn’t sharing simply because she preferred people today to truly feel sorry for her.
“I’m in this article to say that when we attain out to persons that we appreciate, or even that we never, strangers even… that we really do not have to truly feel so by yourself,” she said.
